A brief history: the development of our turf system

Our exclusive Mirage Turf System was invented by Dale G. Potts, after he tired of fighting to keep his real “bent grass” putting green mowed and looking good.

He tore out the grass green and replaced it with sand-filled synthetic turf.  RELIEF!  Until he started to experience the frustrations associated with sand-filled greens.  He vowed to invent a better turf system, which, after many months, he succeeded in doing.  Since then, literally thousands of homeowners, golf courses and commercial properties have installed the Mirage Turf System to create putting greens and replace grass—all virtually maintenance-free and safe for kids and pets.

The Mirage Turf System DOES NOT require deep sand in-fill.  It consists of polyethylene and nylon multi-color fibers in a variety of configurations to create putting greens or lawns that look and play like real grass and require virtually no maintenance.  The fibers are texturized and heat-set to create a real bent-grass look and play. The fibers stand up naturally and do not require sand in-fill and the associated maintenance and dangers.

The spring-set, textured fibers spring or "bounce back,” creating a truer roll when putting and more realistic ball checking when chipping.  Plus, it performs better, longer, with less maintenance and is safer for kids and pets than deep-in-filled turf.
